The Grand Canyon

Back in October of 2010 The Mr. and I took a road trip for one month. I blogged about Lincoln City here, San Francisco here and here, Yosemite here and here, Death Valley here, the Hoover Dam here... and that is as far as I got. We made several more stops before making our way home but I never shared about them here.

So why am I bringing this up again? This is why:

I bought these little moccasins at a gift shop at the Grand Canyon! Back when I was fighting nausea and elated over the pregnancy and wondering whether I was expecting "sugar and spice and all things nice" or "snips and snails and puppy dogs tails." I figured the little moccasins would go equally well with a little pair of overalls or a little dress and I wanted them so badly. It was the only thing we bought for the baby on the trip and it is so fun to see Little Mr. wear them now. They are such a fun reminder of the pregnancy.

The photos from our visit to the Grand Canyon have been uploaded for over a year so I might as well share a few of them now!

It is breathtaking!

There is a Snickers bar hanging out of my pocket lol. Hey, if that's what it took to not throw up, that's fine by me!

On our way to the next stop on our trip we passed some neat scenery.

A nasty dust storm!

Our next stop!

  1. Aw! Those moccasins are SO sweet! We had a pair for Brie that she wore non-stop... Seriously the best shoes for little ones.

Your Grand Canyon shots are wonderful too. I cannot wait to see that someday.

  2. The Grand Canyon is so awe-inspiring; I'm so glad we took the boys. That tower was fascinating (I can't remember the name now)...and the story of the woman who designed it.
