Quotes from Sitting Bull

Two weeks ago when we were visiting family in Kirkland, I started a collection. Every time our nephew said something that was highly quotable, I would write it down. I knew that it would be blog material, so I asked him what he would like his blog nickname to be. After some consideration, he exclaimed "Sitting Bull!" We all burst into laughter!

I'll share a few of the quotes, as well as tell you what was going on at the time - but some of them were just our nephew's mind working away by itself and creating all sorts of interesting things for me to write down!

Stop the music on the left hand bar before playing the movie. Here nephew is singing the song Just as I am, just as it sounds on the recording he has listened to several times.

------------------------------------

Paul: "Oh my livin' lands!"
Chatty: "Oh I have to write that one down"
Paul: "No thank you!"

------------------------------------

The Mr. and I bought a small Indian Chief and Horse figurine for him as a belated birthday present and he became quite attached to it as the day went on. The Mr. would tease our nephew by stealing it away from him every once in a while so eventually the little guy hid the figurines away. During breakfast, The Mr. happened to notice where they were hidden, and broadcasted to the room that they were in his possession again. There was then a quick flash from the end of the table, where Mom J was sitting and the figurines were no longer in The Mr.'s hand. She quickly put them in her pocket and that was when we heard:

"Oh happy day... Grandma and me are a team!" It was then followed by, "Uncle T, you're a thief and a robber!"

------------------------------------

Out of the middle of nowhere, Sitting Bull pipes up and exclaims, "I'm going to build a claim shanty when I grow up and be a bachelor. And I am going to make pancakes, that's all I'll eat, stack after stack."
------------------------------------

"Where IS Waldo?"
(J2, J1, Sitting Bull and J3)

------------------------------------

After I once more whipped out my notebook: "She writes down lots of notes that I say."

------------------------------------

Out of nowhere, "I don't like flowers, I'm a boy."

------------------------------------

From the back seat of the car on our way to go shopping he exclaimed, "I am interested in history... especially the wars of history. I have an army already made up!" (He then proceeded to name the American Indian tribes and African tribes by memory.)

------------------------------------

While driving through an area of Kirkland with a lot of trees. "Mom, why are there houses in the woods? I just don't understand, it makes it so difficult for hunting!"
