Let's GO!

The title of this post is me talking to myself. I'm trying to get motivated and I think it might be working, so let's see how far I get. So first on the list is to give a short update about what is going on in the world of The Little One. I am now just almost 20 weeks pregnant and definitely starting to show a little more, which is fun. I've just started growing out of some of my regular clothes, which means the maternity clothes are starting to make an appearance. It's so amazing to think that this Little One is living and growing and is around 5 inches at this age! Thankfully, now at 19 weeks my nausea is settling down more and more. I feel pretty good during the day, but late afternoon and evenings I still feel it.

Second on the list is to talk about Thanksgiving. We had an amazing Thanksgiving long weekend. On Thursday 22 of the J family met together at Seth and Shawn's in the Seattle area. There was lots of snow, which made for a cozy atmosphere, but hazardous driving. The meal was truly scrumptious, all the fixin's were there. This was my first year to attempt gluten-free stuffing and it was pretty yummy. I used left over Bob's Red Mill bread (from a mix) and loosely based the recipe off of Gluten Free Girl's website (here and here.)

The Thanksgiving weekend included lots of festivities, like ice skating, an amazing surprise Mommy shower for me, shopping at lovely boutique shops, a ferry ride, shopping at Bainbridge Island and Pike Place Markey, more amazing home cooked meals and of course lots of fellowship with family. It was such a wonderful weekend! Memories were made that I do not want to forget.... ever!

Well third and last on the list is that The Mr. and I went on a road trip in October. A lot of you probably have heard all about this already, so bear with me while I share the news with those who might not have heard. SO.... not only did we go on a road trip, but the fun news is that we went on a road trip for almost the entire month! We left on October 4th and got home on the 31st, just in time to hand out Halloween candy laden gospel tracts to the little costumed people who knocked on our door.

I am going to start posting photos and info from our road trip, so stay tuned!

  3. Glad to see you posting again! These first months sure take a lot out of you when a little one's on the way. I had lost count at what week you're at, and when I read it, I thought, "Wow! the time sure is going fast... I thought she wasn't that far ahead of me." Then I actually looked at the calendar and realized I'd lost track of my own progress. :)

  4. I can't wait to see the ultrasound pictures from tomorrow! Have fun at your appointment. :)

It's nice to see you blogging again. I'll have to start with the regular posts too... it's good to help us keep updated with each other's lives from a different perspective than email.

Love you lots and miss you like crazy,

    Your pesky little sis

p.s. The hair is good. Although Michelle tried to convince me that one side just looked longer because it's thicker....I'm not so convinced. So I made her trim it AND thin it out. It's nice. A little short in the back, but still cute.
