The Mr. and I are expecting a baby! Our many years of waiting have come to an end and a different, happy sort of waiting has taken it's place. We are so thankful and beyond excited to be expecting our first baby. I am due the first week of May, which means I'm about 9 weeks along at the moment. I've been dealing with a lot of nausea, so I've been taking it easy and my blogging has fallen to the wayside. I'm going to continue to take a blog break for at least another month. Hopefully after my first trimester is over, I can start blogging again as I really miss it! There have been a lot of fun events and post ideas that have sadly sat for months in my "to blog" folder. Two giveaways were in the works, some home decor posts, some crochet projects to share, not to mention four boating excursions, one being a an awesome boat camping trip that broke our "total hours without touching land" record, at 21 hours!
Well, honestly, I feel queasy when I sit at the computer, so I'm signing off until at least the end of my first trimester. I will end this post with two verses that recently were shared with me. Two sisters each gave one of these verses to me, not knowing what the other had shared, and the two meshed so beautifully. The Mr. and I are so incredibly thankful for this gift the Lord has given us!
The Lord shall give that which is good. Psalms 85:12
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17
Okay, I'm just about jumping up and down for you. Or I would be if I wasn't worried it would wake up Nora : ) So happy for you both. Good reason for not blogging!
ReplyDeleteTee hee! YAAAAAY!

ReplyDeleteHearty congratulations to you and the Mr.!! I'm so happy for the two of you! "As for God, His way is perfect." II Samuel 22:31
ReplyDeleteSooooo excited for you both! I can't imagine how wonderful this must be! The Lord has his perfect timing and ways and I'm glad you are being blessed by harboring this life. Hopefully you will be feeling better in the next few weeks and can really enjoy this time. Oh! Just wait until you feel those first movements...what a miracle!

ReplyDelete:) :D :D ! I don't need to actually say anything, do I?
ReplyDeleteSo excited to hear the news, I hope you get feeling better soon and all goes well :) A wondrous and joyful, if somewhat trying time of blessing....that's how I'll describe motherhood so far :)
ReplyDeleteThis has to be your best blog post! At least, the one that is the most exciting! Ditto to all the comments, I'm very excited for you but feel for you being so sick. I'll pray that your nausea and other icky stuff would end soon. That's definitely the WORST part of pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteGod is so good! We are praising Him for this awesome gift of a new life inside you!
congratulations!
