Stay in the Nature

One of my favorite stops at Bellis Fair Mall is Daiso Japan. This store is growing like crazy and spreading across the USA and Canada. Last time I checked their website, they only had one store in the United States and one in Canada, with all other stores across the ocean somewhere. Anyways, if you ever see one of these stores, take a moment to step inside. It's crazy in there, really... you could get lost! Anyways, one of the best parts of the visit is reading all the bad English on the tags. Remember this post? I recently picked up some gulls for our hall bathroom and thought I would share some photos.

I wonder which line says "this is not a toy for your toddler" or whatever.

"The nature gives you relaxation and composure. Stay in the nature." Classic! I love it.

  1. What a walk down memory lane for me! I remember our shopping days in Japan and how hilarious their english efforts could be. I do believe they really, really were trying, but the result was often a painfully constructed slogan with the wrong tense/gender/verb or a 'trying too hard to be cool' malaprop.

  2. Wow! Daiso has come to north america!! That`s great! I had been thinking it would be the one store I`d really miss!! Mind you I`m sure there won`t be one in Manitoba for another 100 years. ha ha.

  3. F and/or B- that is cool that you have actually been to one in Japan for real. Do they have English labels there as well or just Japanese? :)

  4. Haha! I love looking for the 'No Check Accept" sign when I go to nail salons.
