Garlic Monkey Bread

I have three exciting posts to share and lots of photos, but unfortunately Blogger photo upload is down! So I will post something from my arsenal of recipe blog drafts to keep you all coming back for more. Don't drool on your keyboard.

White bread dough, melted butter concoction and bundt pan.

Forming the balls and dipping each. I used a fork, but a small slotted spoon would work the best.

Finished and ready to bake. I pour the rest of the melted butter mixture over the dough in the pan.

Next time I would make the pieces a lot smaller and let it brown a little more.

White Bread

2 tbsp oil
1 cup warm water
3 1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp yeast

Add ingredients in listed order to pan of bread maker. Choose the dough option. If you don't have a bread maker, do whatever it is that regular bread recipes tell you to do. I wouldn't know because I have never made bread without the bread maker!

1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup melted butter
2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
2 cloves crushed garlic or equivalent powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp parsley flakes
1 tsp sage
1 tsp oregano

Put above ingredients into a deep bowl or glass measuring cup. Dip pieces of dough into mixture and place into pan. Any pan would work but I like a bundt pan the best. Pieces should be walnut sized or plum sized depending on what you like. Arrange peices into pan. Pour excess liquid mixture over dough. Let rise till doubled in size, approx. 1 hour. Bake at 350° until browned, approx. 25-30 minutes.

This recipe was given to me by a dear friend Robynn H.
