East Beach

One of my favorite days here was the Saturday we visited East Beach on Saint Simons.  It was a perfect day for the sand and surf...

Cool dude.

Brothers

This was Little Brother's first sand experience.

My three guys.

The footsteps of a 2 and a half year old.

Writing in the sand.  We wrote our names and some messages for the people walking up and down the beach, like "Merry Christmas 2013!"

At first, the receding waves had a silly effect on Little Mr. and made him lose his balance.   He soon got used to it and then he felt completely at home in them.

He liked the way the sand stayed under his hand as the wave receded.

Staying out of the sun, next time we want to bring a sun shade of some sort.

Getting more comfortable.

He started laying like this and waiting for the waves to come hit him.

A little too far away from the surf this time! :)

Getting tired and warm, almost time to leave!  Check out those thighs, sigh... I will miss those when he grows out of them.

We can't wait to go back!

  2. It's fun to see your adventures. There's nothing like showing little kids something (sand, ocean water, ice cream) for the first time!

  3. LOL, Little Mr. waiting for the waves on his tummy is so cute, our kids loved that one. And that last picture of Little brother, he has the cutest long eyelashes. :) What fun to be able to visit the beach aand play in the water in the middle of winter. :} ~ SJo
