Seabrook, WA (and a Cabela's Detour)

On June 25-27 The Mr. and I along with his Mother, four of his siblings and their families rented a house at Seabrook, WA. As always, I took a lot of photos and can't choose just 20 out of the hundreds.

Let me start with our side trip to Cabela's. The Mr. and I had driven past this store several times so this time we decided to make the time to go visit it.

The center display is incredible.

There is an in-store aquarium. (This is a real live fish- one of many.)

Stellar Sea Lion (This is stuffed.)

Fishing anyone?

The Mr. checking his pocketbook. Actually, I think his cell phone was ringing.

We're in Africa now.

This was actually a little scary.

The view from upstairs.

On the road again, and finally seeing signs for Ocean Shores, YeeHAW!

Almost there.

Our rental house- definitely enough space for the 17 of us.

This beautifully decorated shelf was the first thing I saw when I walked in the door and I knew I would love this house.

Check out that drift wood mirror! I hope to have one of these in my home some day.

Third floor games room and toy area.

Toy area complete with tiny kitchen and everything kids need for possible rainy vacation days.

Thankfully, it wasn't raining even though it was a tad overcast. Overcast skies make for bright colors in photos though!

Foxglove were growing all over the place. Some of the plants were taller than me!

Stormy seas.

Sallad and Grace. I want to say a huge thank you to both of them for putting so much hard work into this trip. Thank you for finding, booking, planning, organizing etc! You guys did a wonderful job.

The Ladies. I guess we should have got the girls- J2 and Bri in the shot too if we wanted it to be complete!

Bri is finally free from that contraption in the back. :)

I love the posture of babies. So sweet.

The second baby at the beach. I can't believe she is a year old now. She acts like a 6 month old still.

Event though it looks pretty stormy on the beach, we had a really nice time!

Lots of laughter! It is so fun to spend time with this family! I love them!

  4. Great photos! The Cabela ones are fun and you got a lot of great shots of the house before it was all messed up! That WAS a really fun time!

  5. That house looks neat! We've stayed in 3 of the related properties in Oregon (Bella Beach) and would love to check out Seabrook. From the ones I've seen/stayed in, all the houses are really neat. What was the name of yours? I'd be interested because it is a little difficult finding a house that fits over 15 people. I just love the "real" open ocean beaches...they're so refreshing!

  6. Cabella's sure looks neat! We went by there a couple weeks ago and wanted to stop, but wasn't sure what exit to take. We missed it, got off at the next exit, tried to loop around on back rounds, ended up near the sound and finally came back to the right exit, but had no clue what road to turn down. I think it was near the first turn-around which was full of construction. Oh well, another time! The beach house looked really cute! What a fun time!

  7. Ahh, the dead animal zoo. We LOVE that store... called Daddy's store by my children. :-) We can, and have, wandered in there for hours.

What a great vacation house! Looks like a great time! :-)

  8. Amy, yes you have to take the exit before you actually see the building. :) Then take a left when you get to a round about. The road is called something or rather parkway. :)

Susan- The house is called Pacific Idyll. Forgot to mention that!
