Marlo & Fran

I have files and files of photos and a mind full of stories and whatnot to post about but as soon as I watched this video that my cousin over at DeliaJude posted, I knew I had to share it here. I love it! It put a smile on my face and I hope it does the same to you.

From YouTube: "Fran & Marlo Cowan (married 62 years) playing impromptu recital together in the atrium of the Mayo Clinic. He turned 90 in February."

More info about this video can be read here in a beautiful post about one woman's road to recovery and how the Cowans happened to be caught on video.

Mr. and Mrs. Cowan, who are now famous via YouTube, don't even have a computer. Here is a newspaper story written about them that has another video. They found out that they were a YouTube sensation through a friend who has an iPhone and ran into their video.

  1. My sister sent me that a few weeks back, it brought warmth to my heart and a tear to my eye. I *LOVE* old couples who are still in love and share a passion like that. I showed it to Brad and he thought it was the sweetest, cutest thing too! I hope Brad and I are like that in 60 years!

  2. Love it! That is really, really cool. I read both links you posted as well and they were really interesting. Thanks for posting this!

  3. That is DEFINITELY smile material! Now I hope to hear you and the Mister play together next time I'm there!

  4. That is sweet! Their joy and vigor for life is so readily apparent! I read the story, too, about the lady who had that awful journey of surgeries from jaw tumors...sad but with a very happy ending!

  5. MIL- well we did learn one duet together, but now The Mr. knows both parts and plays them together by himself as you have heard a few times! Maybe we'll learn Canon in D or something.

  6. so i randomly found this website for gluten free gift baskets lol:

and you should delete this comment cause it has absolutely nothing to do with your post!

  7. I like that and hadn't seen it yet. Thanks!

Your comments make my day, thank you!
