Triumph Spitfire

Dad pulled into the yard in his Triumph Spitfire. This was the first time I saw the car outside of the workshop. It is such a cool little car. My dad and my brother completely restored the car as a project and it sounds like they had a lot of fun with it. My dad even did the paint job himself- he is so handy!

My dad made these decals for the hubs himself.

The guys going into town.

The Mr. and I taking it for a spin!

It is so incredibly low down to the ground, you feel like you are riding in a go cart. It's a smooth ride and it's so fun to ride with the top down.

Dad- what does the "M" stand for? And if you comment to answer this question, can you also tell us what year the car is?

    Cool Car!

Now I can read all your posts over again, and they will seem so "fresh" and "vibrant"!

    "My Luv"... not "sjo"

  8. It is well known that designer Giovanni Michelotti was responsible for the corporate Triumph look of the 1970's which resulted in the restyled MkIV Spitfire, but less well known that he undertook the original car's styling, also. His signature can be found in the form of an "M" on the bonnet latches. It's a 1971 Spitfire IV
