2 cups white sugar
½ cup butter
½ cup milk
½ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
3 ½ cups quick oatmeal (must be quick variety)
½ cup peanut butter
I think it's a good idea to double the recipe. They freeze great and you can eat as many as you like while you are making them. :)
Combine the first 6 ingredients in saucepan and bring to a rolling boil. Pour in oats and peanut butter. Stir till well mixed and drop by preferred cookie size onto waxed paper.
I like to put my waxed paper onto pans so I can cool the cookies in the fridge and can put them into a tupperware faster.
these are my absolute FAVORITEST cookies. YUMYUMYUMYUM =P

ReplyDeleteDid you use chunky peanut butter? Is that what I'm seeing in the pictures, or is that the oatmeal? They look terrific. Anything you can freeze is awesome.
ReplyDeleteHanna- Yes, I used chunky peanut butter, it was extra chunky actually. I like it better with regular or smooth. What you are seeing is probably the oatmeal, but the larger chunks are peanuts.
ReplyDeleteJust make sure to use quick oats. Regular don't work.
