The Peace Arch Park

On Monday I spent part of the afternoon practicing something I love - photography! It was a really nice day and not too sunny - which is good for photos. I have always wanted to go visit the Peace Arch park in the spring when the trees are blooming, and since I had the opportunity to do so- I took it. It was my first visit to the park on foot. I usually drive through it at least a few times a week, so it was so nice to walk through it and be able to enjoy it's beauty. Here are a few of the photos I took, as well as the web album slideshow. Click the link, and then choose "hide captions" for the best viewing. If you hit the X after watching the slides, it takes you to the album.

For the beauty of the earth
For the glory of the skies,
For the love which from our birth
Over and around us lies.

Lord of all, to Thee we raise,
This our hymn of grateful praise.

For the beauty of each hour,
Of the day and of the night,
Hill and vale, and tree and flower,
Sun and moon, and stars of light.

For the joy of ear and eye,
For the heart and mind’s delight,
For the mystic harmony
Linking sense to sound and sight.

For the joy of human love,
Brother, sister, parent, child,
Friends on earth and friends above,
For all gentle thoughts and mild.

For each perfect gift of Thine,
To our race so freely given,
Graces human and divine,
Flowers of earth and buds of Heaven.

  1. Those flowers are so pretty. You do such a good job taking pictures. I wish I was that talented! I can't believe we'll be driving by the Peace Ach in a week from Friday! Time is flying by. I keep thinking Richmond conference is a long time away.

  3. Love the photography, you seem to really have a knack for it. Keep it up!!!!!
You don't need any paintings in your house, you could just print some of your photos, they're great.

Thank you! (And thanks everyone else too!)
Do I know you? Your profile/blog is private so I am not sure if you are David, Esther and Luke's mama or not?
