I brought out the toy box right away and the girls had fun digging around in there until they realized that there were no dolls. So I got out my two dolls and the box of doll clothes and dress-up clothes. Once they decided that two dolls were not enough for three girls, I brought out the goodies. I have a box of young girl, toddler and baby barbies. No adult barbies, just the kids and their clothing that I saved from my own childhood because I always thought they were most fun. The girls had a blast playing with those and there were definitely enough to go around.
We had teriyaki meat balls and rice for dinner but the girls still liked ketchup for their meat, as most kids do. Lily, if you are wondering what the special dipping sauce for carrots is, shh, don't tell anyone, but it's Thousand Island salad dressing. Ha ha. After lunch, they also fed carrots to Thumper, without the special dip of course.
The most fun we had all night was when Abigail stumbled across a pair of sunglasses I had in the dress-up clothes. The girls loved them so much that they were all giggling like crazy.
Later we decided to play dress-up. Lily and her husband got back from the beach just in time to catch us all dressed up so they were able to take some pictures.
Overall, I had a wonderful time last night. The Mr. had been at work all day and was scheduled to stay at work until midnight, so the company was much needed. It couldn't have come at a better time.
