One year ago today, we doled out cash to bring Petra home as part of our family. To celebrate her anniversary, we dolled out cash once again, this time to get her released from the shelter! The Lord answered our prayers and Petra is with us once again. She is her normal healthy energetic self and we are SO thankful. I knew it was her as soon as we saw her in the kennel, and I hadn't even seen her face yet. I was so relieved that I started crying and I was just so happy to have her back. She is being royally spoiled now of course! We wish she could talk so she could tell us all about her scary adventure. Or maybe it was a fun one?!
Yeeeaaahh extra treats for Petra - NOT - do not do that to us again Petra girl!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear! What a relief!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you found her!!!! I was up till 3 am sewing, so as my doggie was sitting next to me it was super easy to keep you on my mind constantly in prayer for you to find her. :-) So glad she's home!!!
ReplyDeleteGlenda- actually lots and lots of extra treats are in order because we are fairly sure it was fowl play at some point. Whether or not she was taken from our yard, she was found without a collar, and dropped off at the Humane Society by someone who would not leave their name, could not remember where they found her and who also mentioned that someone "made" them bring the dog in. Somewhat suspicious if you ask me! There were other things that had made us suspicious already, so hearing those things just made us even more thankful to have her back.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you have her back! Give her a scratch behind the ears from me. :o)
ReplyDeleteRight now she is sleeping all sprawled out, but with ALL her toys up against her tummy. She must have missed them!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'm so happy for you both! She must have been so happy to see you!
ReplyDeleteYAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are SO happy to hear that!! Power of prayer, I tell ya :) I can imagine the overwhelming feeling and we are just so glad!

So glad to hear she's back home safe and sound!
ReplyDeleteThe tender mercies of our God.
ReplyDeleteThat lady didn't know it, but it was the Lord who made her bring her back.
Love you, and so glad your dear pet is home.

Thank you all so much for praying. It really did bring a miracle!
ReplyDeleteShe definitely was excited to see us, jumping all over the place and wiggling. We got to go see her to confirm she was our dog, and then we had to leave in order to fill out paperwork. The second time we went to see her was when I took the photo, and for a second I think she thought we were going to leave her there, so that is why she was hanging her head!! She is so sweet, it was so sad!
Wonderful answer to prayer; to lose a pet like that is so sad, and I'm so glad you got her back.
ReplyDeleteYay! Glad you got her back!
ReplyDeletePraise the Lord!
ReplyDeleteWow! SO glad you guys got her back!!! That is scary to think about what happened - poor Petra! So happy for you guys.
