On Monday Mom J, Auntie Glenna, The Mr. and I took a leap of faith and drove down through rain, slush and snow to
Mt. Vernon. When we arrived, it was sunny! I couldn't believe it, but I was sure thankful. I really wanted to visit the
Skagit Valley Tulip Festival this year and wasn't disappointed. There were tons of tulips blooming as well as daffodils, lilies, gladiolus, rhododendrons, ornamental trees, and hyacinths.
I love the lone red tulip in this photo.
Rhododendron bud.

Crazy Tulips
I love the array of colors in this photo. Red, pink and red and yellow tulips, yellow daffodils, small blue flowers, blue sky, purple crape myrtle (I think?) and pink blooms on the tree.
It is such a pretty setting with the mountains in the background.
beautiful! Love the lone red tulip!

ReplyDelete. . . sigh . . . I love those rows and rows of purple tulips. Some of mine are poking through the soil, but are currently encased in ice from our freezing rain the other day. :o(
