Backyard Bonfire

The first day after the conference, we still hadn't had enough of each other, so a few of us went to Drooler's house for a back yard bonfire. Knittery Kate's kids were in attendance, as well as The Chatty Sister, Uncle M, Mr. and Mrs. Crazy Hair Dude as well as ioi and family. We sang songs, ate S'mores and popcorn till everything was sticky and had a really good time. It was a nice way to relax after the busy weekend.

  1. Bon fires, so much fun! We had a fire pit at our old house and the two times we used it it rained on us! My faves now are out at the cottage...we had some pretty good ones out at your farm as kids too though. Those are good memories!

  2. Yes I really miss those bonfires we would have out in the country, whether it was at Ashley's, the Denzin's or our place, they were always a lot of fun.

I miss playing capture the flag too. :)

  3. I've enjoyed those same bonfires over the years after conference, at the farm, at the cottage, at D&L's house. Though I preferred to stay by the fire rather than run around in the dark looking for a flag. =) But it was always entertaining to hear the crashing through the bushes and the hollering! Glad that you are continuing the same tradition out west! -SF

  5. Thank you very much S! We had a nice anniversary because we got to spend it with the many friends and family at conference. Our piano was our gift to each other, and we are really really enjoying it. Thad already knows a song off by heart, and I am working my way through a hymn book. It is nice having more music in our home.

  14. Hi Chatty. You wanted a date for your counter. Since I'm dealing with a range, just go with Sep 7th. There's very little chance of it being later than that. :)

And as for SF... I strongly suspcected, but thanks to familymclean, I don't have to ask you myself. :) But I'm not sure if I know familymclean... do I? I've been to her blog, but I can't place her.

  15. You probably met her once while in SK, but if you can't place her by looking at her blog, where she has posted pics of herself and her sister then you probably don't remember her.
